One Goose Step Closer to Christian Reconstructionism

FEMA plans to reimburse faith groups for aid
Civil libertarians object; religious groups ponder what to do

By Alan Cooperman and Elizabeth Williamson
    The Washington Post
    Updated: 12:04 a.m. ET Sept. 27, 2005

Let me excerpt this sickening bit

"After weeks of prodding by Republican lawmakers and the American Red Cross, the Federal Emergency Management Agency said yesterday that it will use taxpayer money to reimburse churches and other religious organizations that have opened their doors to provide shelter, food and supplies to survivors of hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
FEMA officials said it would mark the first time that the government has made large-scale payments to religious groups for helping to cope with a domestic natural disaster."

Since when is the government in the business of reimbursing churches for charity? Oh yeah, since that idiot front man got installed by the right wing extremist supreme court in 2000.

I can't find much humorous in this. I know it is moron and his handlers pandering to the religious idiots who support his presidency, doing damage control against the public perception of the mess in NOLA. But this is an absolute outrage, a kick in the face to the country, a bad, bad day for civil liberties and screamingly against the laws of this country.

I don't know why I'm surprised. After all, this is what repiglicans do. Take public money and disburse it lavishly to their friends in the private sector. This is what they've been doing for years. This is what Department of Homeland Security does, this and nothing but this. Takes tax dollars and distributes them to companies that fund right wing extremist candidates and sponsor war. Lockheed in charge of New York City subway security? What kind of bullshit is that? Same kind of bullshit this is. I mean, we've seen the level of federal preparedness for an emergency. Totally unprepared. Totally. What if katrina had been a bomb? Would they still blame the governor and mayor of New Orleans? Probably. Because they are doing their job as they see it. Restructuring the economy into a feudal one. Collecting taxes in order to feed them to corporations who will feed them to fascist monsters in Washington while they attempt world domination.
By the way, those are TACTICAL nuclear weapons the pigs are developing. They will not only spend billions of tax dollars to make them; they will USE them.

Katrina has demonstrated that the Bush administration is not only totally unprepared for a terrorist attack, it has done nothing at all to prepare for one. It has done everything it can to escalate the number of terrorists attacks world wide and at home. It wants the conflict. A hundred of years of British and American meddling in the middle east has brought this mess. Wait. Did I say 100? Silly me. It goes back well before that. But since the discovery of Middle Eastern oil it has taken a shape only a monster can wear.

Personally, I think they would relish another terrorist attack, but even if that is just my paranoia it is abundantly clear they have done nothing to prepare for one, even though they are bound to expect to one, especially after their unjust invasion of Iraq, which could also be called the creation of terrorist state where one wasn't.

Give more tax money to the religious right so they can give it back to you NeoCONS, so they can hand out elaborately printed voter guides in church and at walmart. Keep 'em stirred up and stoked so they can distract the public from noticing it is being robbed blind. Keep telling 'em it is all about gay marriage and Jesus and abortion when it is really about plunder, exploitation and enslavement. Violate the very idea the country was built upon. And wear a flag lapel pin while you do it.

Pat Robertson, Felon and Twisted Sister, in His Own Words

I suspect a lot of women have concluded their dealings with Pat by announcing they're lesbians. I'm not sure if they just told him that to get him away from them or if an encounter with him might actually create a lesbian from a previously heterosexual woman. Such is the power of the unbridled Christian male.

"The Constitution of the United States, for instance, is a marvelous document for self-government by the Christian people. But the minute you turn the document into the hands of non-Christian people and atheistic people they can use it to destroy the very foundation of our society. And that's what's been happening." -- Pat Robertson, The 700 Club, Dec. 30, 1981

(talking about Planned Parenthood) "It is teaching kids to fornicate, teaching people to have adultery, every kind of bestiality, homosexuality, lesbianism-everything that the Bible condemns."--Pat Robertson, "The 700 Club," 4/9/91

"The feminist agenda is not about equal rights for women. It is about a socialist, anti-family political movement that encourages women to leave their husbands, kill their children, practice witchcraft, destroy capitalism, and become lesbians." -- Pat Robertson, fundraising letter, 1992

What is this unrelenting association Pat has between socialism and lesbians? Does he know something I don't about Karl Marx? And don't you have to practice witchcraft BEFORE you become a child killer, not after?

"I know this is painful for the ladies to hear, but if you get married, you have accepted the headship of a man, your husband. Christ is the head of the household and the husband is the head of the wife, and that's the way it is, period."--Pat Robertson, "The 700 Club," 1/8/92

"Just like what Nazi Germany did to the Jews, so liberal America is now doing to the evangelical Christians. It's no different. It is the same thing. It is happening all over again. It is the Democratic Congress, the liberal-based media and the homosexuals who want to destroy the Christians. Wholesale abuse and discrimination and the worst bigotry directed toward any group in America today. More terrible than anything suffered by any minority in history."--Pat Robertson, 1993 interview with Molly Ivins

"You see what happened in 1962. They took prayer out of the schools. The next year the Supreme Court ordered Bible reading taken from the schools. And then progressing, liberals, most of them atheistic educators, have pushed to remove all religion from the lives of children...The people who wrote the "Humanist Manifesto" and their pupils and their disciples are in charge of education in America today." --Pat Robertson, "The 700 Club," January 13, 1995

" NOW is saying that in order to be a woman, you've got to be a lesbian."--Pat Robertson, "The 700 Club," 12/3/97

"There is no such thing as separation of church and state in the Constitution. It is a lie of the Left and we are not going to take it anymore."

How do you spell Dominionist? Do you spell it like Christian reconstruction? That's right, bring back slavery!

We have a court that has essentially stuck its finger in God's eye. We have insulted God at the highest levels of our government. Then, we say, Why does this happen? It is happening because God Almighty is lifting His protection from us. From his website

This is God's power and he sent this thing to warn us? We needed a shock [9/11]

Many of those people involved with Adolph Hitler were Satanists, many of them were homosexuals; the two things seem to go together.

Hitler would have loved Pat. They have the same philosophy except Hitler was heterosexual and Robertson thinks about homosexuality more than any straight man of whom I've ever heard. Leaves me with questions, this obsession with homosexuality expressed by so members of the Christian right. Looks like many male members of the Christian right are self loathing homosexuals who hate women and America. These things seem to go together.

    Rita

We are simply in a cycle, ya know, of increased hurricane acrtivity, ma'am.
Never mind the high temperature of Gulf Waters intensifying the storms. Never mind the slowly melting arctic ice floes. Never mind science of any kind.

    Never Mind.
    Never Mind.

    Where Are They Now?

The Manson Chicks before they became Repiglican Media Stars.

    I've finally figured it out.

Repiglican party supporters are Manson girls!
Though the points of similarity are numerous, the self congratulations, obedience to master, elaborate delusional systems, disregard for life, disrespect of others, ultra violent natures and sense of divine mission are what alerted me to this fact so well hidden it might as well be on the invisible ink resume of Judge Johnny Roberts.

Crooks and Liars is running a clip of the O'Reilly Factor in which Phil Donahue confronts O'Reilly about his loud mouthed support for the unjust invasion and occupation of Iraq, while O'Reilly, piglet shill, attempts to undermine public support for Cindy Sheehan.

While Donahue talks O'Reilly gets madder, more puffed up and nearly hyperventilating from self righteous, until he reaches a point at which he begins raging that Iraq is a terrorist state and we, the great amurikkkans, are fighting a war on terrorism by occupying it! (Do the dumb ass people who watch FAUX TV actually buy into that, still? ) As Billy, so Donahue repeatedly diminished him, shrieked that Donahue knows nothing about geopolitics, I suddenly realized I have seen this all before.

I saw it when I was a youngster and the Manson Killers were tried, the sex slave bitches who shaved their heads and cut their faces, who were so mindlessly obedient and drug addled, they murdered people for sociopath Charlie Manson, acted exactly exactly this way!

The Susan Atkins of the Porker Party, that's O'Reilly . He's a mindless murdering bitch and Bush whore who doesn't care one fig about human life, or truth, not as long as he maintains his "popularity."
That's our Sexie Sadie. Wish he'd X himself from the airwaves.

Ann Coulter, PJ O'Rourke, the Bush Cheney bumpersticker sporting idiots who live in Williamson County and red state voters everywhere - all of them are Manson girls, willing to do anything, including murder, for their deeply disturbed leader.

The rest of The Interior Prisoner

    7.

A lexicon contains words as a prison contains men.
At most I make the prisoners merry enough
to forget their chains for a n hour.
    What sentence would free them?

    8.

The light advancing across the face of the wall . . .
    A discovery of the Indies,
enacted each morning like clock work

    9.

    Their need
    - to drink, to quarrel, to display -
is not so much their sickness as their wealth

    10.

    There is a fountain
    lulled by its splashing
    and recirculating waters

    into so deep a sleep
    it forget it's a fountain.

In the heart of that sleep it dreams of a fountain

    11.

    A prophet covered in blood,
    a baby howling warnings
    in the dead of winter

    to frightened ignorant villagers
    who stifle its cries
    for fear of murderous soldiers.

That is what they call Christmas.

    12.

The saint turns life inside out
so that the death side shows.

They expose death to ordinary daylight,
as if in life they were already a head on a platter
or a body shot full off arrows.

This provokes horror and amazement among the onlookers,
whose first instinct is to side with the Roman soldiery
    and exterminate the monsters.

    13.

    Being is a mouth
with which an unknowable word articulates itself

in a language which is a partial imprint
    of something prior to speech,

like the impression left in the grass
    where an animal has rested.

    14.

    The pilgrim retraced his steps
to the point where he went astray
and found no path or hole.

    This barricaded thicket
    was indeed his native country.

    On that spot
    he built a shrine
to the patron saint of desertion.

    15.

    Our history begins
with the description of an injury
whose particulars were never before written down.

    The wound does not heal
but from now on it can never be forgotten.

    We have made a language
sacred to the memory of pain.

    16.

    Not even as many notes
    as would make a song,

    not even as many syllables
    as would make a name.

    Just enough air
    to make a breath:

that is the prairie, the kingdom,
    the boundless estate.

    17.

    Day wasn't long enough
for more than a few words:

    nerve, cobweb,
    fracture, lichen, bud,

    the goat's anxiety,
    the telescope

    the previous tenant left behind.
    Whatever else was said

    got torn apart
    when the rain drove through.

    You've Heard of Siamese?

Well, this cat is Thai. He eats mouseaman curry and finch on stick with a spicy peanut sauce. When he sees repiglicans on TV his back arches, his hair rises and he hisses. Smart cat, that Elvis.

Michael Brown Rats Out Michael Chertoff to New York Times!

    Heckuva job Brownie!

    Cry for Francis Newton

Texas executed Francis Newton last night. She was executed by lethal injection despite considerable evidence that she was innocent of the crime for which she was convicted and sentenced to die.

Texas leads the country in executions of prisoners. This is the Texas that gave us Governor Bush. And sociopath Tom Delay.

The death penalty and the racist application of it are not nearly as important subjects for discussion within my "political" discussion list as are Ipods.

What kind of karmic criminal am I that I have been born in a world that has a place like Texas in it? Though racism is certainly not confined to Texas. And it doesn't have to be expressed by lynching.
It can be expressed just fine by malignant indifference.

Starring Johnny G and the Undiscloseds

John Roberts, understated right wing extremist with a dramatically intense bald spot comb over, could not help but grin boyishly while questioned by Oklahoma cretin, Tom Coburn, new repiglican senate slime who has called for the death penalty of abortion doctors.
They both scare me for Roe.

When Coburn, a flatulent horse's ass, announced in the senate what GOD ALMIGHTY wants, Roberts had already left to go spend an hour with the boy scouts.

Here's an idea. No one with an income higher than the national median is allowed to hold the office of senate ever again. Justice Roberts, what do you think? Is that constitutional? At least as much as torture.

    An Open Letter to Pennsylvania

Please relieve the US Senate of Rick Santorum . And cancel his subscriptions to Honcho and Blue Boy, which I understand he purchased with a gov'mint issued credit card.

    Cleansing Verse from Geoffrey O'Brien

    Okay, just an excerpt

    1.

They search out new regions of muteness.

    The sound the wind makes
as it rips among the hollows

    they organize into a dialect.

Always where they have found nothing
they place a stone to mark the spot.

    2.

If a shaft of light broke into a thousand pieces
and each piece into a thousand more,
    might not a stranger
mistake any of the fragments for the original light?

Am I not such a stranger,
    and if so
how can I speak of light or its origins?

What I have taken for light
    may be something entirely different:
blood, or mire, or darkness itself.

    3.

    The spider's purity of intent.
    the radiance of the design
    its appetite makes.

    4.

There was a king who commanded his subjects
    to rebel against him,
upon penalty of death whether they obeyed or refused.

    5.

Gold. A decayed residue of light
Bog creatures swarm to its glow.

    In the phosphorescent dusk
they feed on the sun's excrement.

    6.

The tongue has made a name for itself,
and seeks to declare independence from the mouth

It has 11 more sections and was published in Hambone in 1995.
Reading it removes the repiglican smell from the room.

    Spiritual Narcoleptics

Despite their prattling about religion, despite copious condemnations and thundering goddamnations of unbelievers, abortion doctors, homosexuals, uppity women and secular humanism, despite the ever swelling holy chatter, despite endless invocations of Lord Jesus the Warrior Christ out to kick some Muslim ass, despite Bible banging so persistent it sounds liked the percussion section of a traveling reggae band, despite the clatter of collection plates heavy with faith based charities tax dollars, despite talking in tongues, fondling rattlesnakes and alterboys, despite snuff films about Geee-Zuss, and even with the recently declared national day of prayer and mourning for the victims of policy in New Orleans, there is no detectable spirituality within the porcine party.

I can't take any repiglican seriously as a Christian. Not that I take religion seriously at all, but some people adapt it for better things than these narcissistic, spiritual narcoleptics, these folks who practice hate, not love, intolerance, not compassion, these stalwart sinners who live compelled by rage, fear, and some kind of need to control everyone but themselves. They act as though god, and I use the G word in a metaphoric sense, is knowable.

Live with a mystery, you rigid, tortured bastards, you petty morons with shriveled interiors.

What I Like Best About Right Wing Christians

They never allow their love of Jesus to get in the way of their hatred of humanity.

National Day of Exploitation of Tragedy

    What an emotional day.
All over the news porkers are snorting that dimocraps are trying to exploit the tragedy in NO with their divisive criticism of repiglican mishandling of the Katrina flood disaster. Tsk Tsk. What is an opposition party to do? Go along with every stupid gift to the rich and every down sizing scheme floated by the bloated party of pompous self righteousness and corruption? Rubber stamp illegal wars for world domination? Party Hardy while independent media disappears? Sign on like gangbusters to the class war agenda?

    The daffy repiglicans think so.

It is particularity gross to listen to this crass manipulation on this day, September 11, 2005, 4 years after extremists attacked the US with hijacked planes, and other extremists attacked the constitution, bill of rights and lag-behind, rag tag remnants of the US middle class. Talk about exploitation. BushCo has exploited down to the last drop in the wake of that national tragedy. Repiglicans used 9/11 to cancel the constitution (see Patriot Act, Jose Padilla), launch an illegal, immoral invasion of Iraq, achieve one party rule, create theocracy in Iraq, and inch closer to one in the good old US of A, plunder the treasury, award contracts to friends, alienate the world, appoint cronies and restructure federal cabinets in a way that destroyed FEMA so New Orleans was sure to drown, etc.

Talk about exploitation. Today they are having a country music jamboree on the national mall. Country music? In honor of?Those killed in the twin tower attacks? After Bush went on vacation as soon as he read a daily briefing entitled "Bin Laden plans to attack US with aircraft"? Oh yeah, they are shameless.

Hey Rummy, do you think the people working in the towers were big Travis Twit fans? Or are you pandering to a certain red area mentality? Or maybe that music was chosen for the firemen (who are daily being screwed out of more benefits and training under the NaziCon plan).

You know, I bet they listen to ZZ Top during presidential briefings. Nothing could surprise me, well, except honesty and integrity from BushCo., the industry leader of exploitation and unmitigated gall.

    Staged Press

I just saw a sanctimonious repiglican press conference on CNN, and it left me confused. Reporters stationed off camera were talking to Bill Frist and Dennis Hastert while Rick Santorum stood silently by (small blessing, that).

Frist spoke his piece, promising to take action regarding the disaster in NOLA, but also lightly disparaged democrats for their complaints regarding lack of repiglican leadership in NOLA.

Then a voice from an unseen reporter asked a question. I don't remember the exact language, but it was a question about whether Nancy Pelosi's remarks regarding Bush (that he is oblivious and dangerous. She is far too kind) were an acceptable part of our public discourse. As soon as the question was asked, Hastert jumped in front of Frist like a Rottweiler looking for a pork chop, and aggressively condemned Pelosi and democrats. It appeared he knew the question was coming. After Hastert was done snarling and clawing and chewing with his mouth open, Frist returned to the microphone spot.

Watching this nonsense I concluded the question came from a plant, another Guekert type, because it seems a credible journalist wouldn't ask that question in that circumstance. It was off topic for one thing. And there are so many legitimate questions to ask about the ONGOING CRISIS, MOUNTING DEATH TOLL, EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS IN THE EVENT OF FURTHER TERRORIST ATTACK, etc. That question, the one that was asked, was pertinent only to the partisan needs of the right.
It was a little too convenient to be real.

Anyway, I'm wondering if there is a way to find out who asked that question. The clip was run on CNN around 10 am central time. I wrote a letter of complaint and inquiry to every talking head I can think of, I'm so sure that exchange was staged.

I have many serious concerns about corporate media and am wildly unhappy with the manipulation of it by partisan hacks and unscrupulous fake journalists taking money to report slanted stories and disinformation. It needs to stop.

The conflict of interests in media need to be legally addressed. I remember freaking out all over the place when GE, whole-hog unethical defense contractor with a decades long history of law bending, law breaking and exploitation, bought NBC. Every elected official I complained to sent me a reassuring letter. Boy, they must have been smokin' whacky tobaccy and popping anti-psychotics. Something powerul made them just not care.

And that, the time of the endless corporate mergers under RAYGUN, was the near beginning of the high body count end of even the facade of democracy in America; the take over of media by these outside interests, the disbandment of the fairness rule/doctrine in 86, I think, and the creation of narcissistic 24 hour cable news. John Roberts was there, helping the destruction along. Chief Justice indeed.

The Failure to function of FEMA and Department of Homeland Security in NO should not be washed away by media manipulation of those critical of the Bush administration.

I'd want to know the name and credentials of the person who asked that question.

    Bye Bye Bad Trash

WASHINGTON (Sept. 4) - Chief Justice William H. Rehnquist, who
oversaw the high court's destructive conservative turn, and presided
over the absurd impeachment trial of President Clinton's sex life,
died Saturday evening. He was 80 years old and had spent 33 years on
the Supreme Court. He was a final gift to the nation from shameless
felon and megalomaniac Richard Milhouse Nixon.

Rehnquist's death opens a frightening second vacancy on the nation's
highest court and gives incompetent, illegitimate President Bush,
whose appointment Rehnquist helped fix, an opportunity to install
another people hating ideologue on the court, making it even more
hostile to the needs of the nation for years to come, and making life
hell for the majority of people who are damaged, killed or squashed
under right wing polices of grab all the cash you can.

Rehnquist, an incorrigible racist, was appointed to the Supreme Court as
an associate justice in 1971 by tape erasing, dangerous paranoic,
secret bomber Richard Nixon, and took his seat on Jan. 7, 1972. He was elevated to chief
justice by heartless, overblown, death warrior,
cowboy-Calvinist-hypercapitalist and bad actor Ronald Wilson Reagan in
    1986.

The death leaves NeoNazi Bush with his second court opening within
four months and sets up what's expected to be an even more bruising
Senate confirmation battle than that of John Roberts.

It was not immediately clear what impact Rehnquist's death would have
on confirmation hearings for Roberts, scheduled to begin Tuesday,
though you can bet repiglicans will get louder and louder in their
undemocratic demand for an immediate up or down vote regardless of the man's
history of helping to form death squads and screw the public sans
    lube.

The last time there were simultaneous vacancies at the court was 1971,
when Justices Hugo Black and John Marshall Harlan retired in
September, about a week apart. Rehnquist, then a Justice Department
lawyer with an agenda, urged the Nixon administration to move fast in
replacing them and wound up being appointed to Harlan's seat himself.

Rehnquist presided over Clinton's impeachment trial in 1999, helped
fix the 2000 presidential election in Bush's favor, and fashioned
decisions over the years that diluted the powers of the federal
government while strengthening those of the states, except when it
came to decisions giving neo-con lunatics more control of the
government as in Bush V Gore, a decision found AGAINST states rights.

He was also one of two misogynistic patriarchs who dissented in Roe V
Wade. His rulings make it probable that many more Americans will die
from all types of cancer due to exposure to environmental toxins, and
even more than that will battle against all manner of disease without
    adequate health care coverage.

"President Bush and Mrs. Bush are saddened by the news, but hoping it
will take a least a smidgen of attention away from Lake George,
Louisiana, formerly New Orleans, and Islamotheocratastan, formerly
Iraq," said White House counselor Dan Bartlett. "It's a tremendous
loss for our right wing extremist agenda." The president was expected to make
a personal statement about Rehnquist on Sunday.

"The Chief Justice battled thyroid cancer since being diagnosed last
October and continued to perform his duties (of destroying any remnant
of the new deal and any shred of freedom in the country) on the court
until a precipitous decline in his health the last couple of days,"
court spokeswoman Kathy Arberg said in announcing his death.
Rehnquist was surrounded by his three children when he died at his
home in suburban Arlington, Va. His wife died in 1991.

Arberg said plans regarding funeral arrangements would be forthcoming.
Bush was notified of Rehnquist's death shortly before 11 p.m. EDT.

Most reasonable Americans will save their grief for the thousands and
thousands of victims of hurricane Katrina, victims whose horrible fate
    Rehnquist helped to shape.
