One Goose Step Closer to Christian Reconstructionism

FEMA plans to reimburse faith groups for aid
Civil libertarians object; religious groups ponder what to do

Let me excerpt this sickening bit

"After weeks of prodding by Republican lawmakers and the American Red Cross, the Federal Emergency Management Agency said yesterday that it will use taxpayer money to reimburse churches and other religious organizations that have opened their doors to provide shelter, food and supplies to survivors of hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
FEMA officials said it would mark the first time that the government has made large-scale payments to religious groups for helping to cope with a domestic natural disaster."

Since when is the government in the business of reimbursing churches for charity? Oh yeah, since that idiot front man got installed by the right wing extremist supreme court in 2000.

I can't find much humorous in this. I know it is moron and his handlers pandering to the religious idiots who support his presidency, doing damage control against the public perception of the mess in NOLA. But this is an absolute outrage, a kick in the face to the country, a bad, bad day for civil liberties and screamingly against the laws of this country.

I don't know why I'm surprised. After all, this is what repiglicans do. Take public money and disburse it lavishly to their friends in the private sector. This is what they've been doing for years. This is what Department of Homeland Security does, this and nothing but this. Takes tax dollars and distributes them to companies that fund right wing extremist candidates and sponsor war. Lockheed in charge of New York City subway security? What kind of bullshit is that? Same kind of bullshit this is. I mean, we've seen the level of federal preparedness for an emergency. Totally unprepared. Totally. What if katrina had been a bomb? Would they still blame the governor and mayor of New Orleans? Probably. Because they are doing their job as they see it. Restructuring the economy into a feudal one. Collecting taxes in order to feed them to corporations who will feed them to fascist monsters in Washington while they attempt world domination.
By the way, those are TACTICAL nuclear weapons the pigs are developing. They will not only spend billions of tax dollars to make them; they will USE them.

Katrina has demonstrated that the Bush administration is not only totally unprepared for a terrorist attack, it has done nothing at all to prepare for one. It has done everything it can to escalate the number of terrorists attacks world wide and at home. It wants the conflict. A hundred of years of British and American meddling in the middle east has brought this mess. Wait. Did I say 100? Silly me. It goes back well before that. But since the discovery of Middle Eastern oil it has taken a shape only a monster can wear.

Personally, I think they would relish another terrorist attack, but even if that is just my paranoia it is abundantly clear they have done nothing to prepare for one, even though they are bound to expect to one, especially after their unjust invasion of Iraq, which could also be called the creation of terrorist state where one wasn't.

Give more tax money to the religious right so they can give it back to you NeoCONS, so they can hand out elaborately printed voter guides in church and at walmart. Keep 'em stirred up and stoked so they can distract the public from noticing it is being robbed blind. Keep telling 'em it is all about gay marriage and Jesus and abortion when it is really about plunder, exploitation and enslavement. Violate the very idea the country was built upon. And wear a flag lapel pin while you do it.
