A Post Script to Elaine's Eyewitness Account of WTC Towers on 9/11

This was in the email she sent me when she sent me the account of her day.

Curiously, I held up pretty well in the weeks afterward, when people all around the city were offering or seeking 'counseling'. I thought that was silly, and felt no need for it. It was not until the year's anniversary, when my company made a very small but friendly gesture to the New York office by delivering a few thousand apples to us (the'big apple', get it?). I walked into the office, picked up my apple and burst into tears.
