Today was quite a depressing day. As a staunch student of our criminal justice system ... I was admittedly sad about this failure. It was so cliche to hear the turnover of "he deserved to die."
Until someone can explain to me HOW taking a life will compensate for a life already lost ... or how taking a life will demonstrate that murder is wrong ... I simply cannot accept that ANYONE deserves to die.
