Illinois Sept. home sales fall 20% despite lower prices

Illinois' total home sales, which include single-family and condominium units, fell 19.5 percent in September as the state's median home sale price dropped 3.4 percent, the Illinois Association of Realtors reported Wednesday.

For the month of September, home sales were down 19.5 percent to 13,447 homes sold, compared to 16,700 sales in the same month last year.
