    Biblical Inerrancy

A political posture which teaches that each word in the Bible is literally true. Thus various contradictory statements within it can be used to justify slavery, racism, classism, homophobia, misogyny and more, which those who preach biblical inerrancy invariably do.

    An example.
Biblical inerrancy claims god made dinosaur fossils, but not dinosaurs, so that man would find the fossils and believe in evolution thereby writing his own ticket to eternal damnation.

The world view advanced is so illogical and distorted it enables all manner of lunacy, such as the belief, often espoused by the inerrancy crowd, that the government sealed Martin Luther King's FBI file, not to protect the government, who most certainly had King under illegal surveillance and perhaps had him murdered, or allowed him to be assassinated, but in order to protect King's legacy from disruption due to public knowledge of his philandering.

While this kind of belief may originate with the semi literate trumpeters of biblical inerrancy and creationism, it is widespread throughout the right wing, who always mention the race of people even when it has no bearing on a story. And who never pass an opportunity to characterize black men as sexually out of control.
