I expect more of these as the election draws near

Not because they've discovered any real threat. Real threats are not the issue or Bush wouldn't have followed policies guaranteed to increase the number of terrorist attacks.

No, by creating the perpetual and imaginary war on terror and driving the threat of terrorism higher, Bush has created a situation in which he can continue to plunder what's left of democracy in America, surreptitiously, violently, whatever the corporatist mood calls for that day.

He has created a climate of fear with his lies, with his wars of aggression, with his stupid Kkkarl Rovian dirty tricks, with his arrests of people for talking, for hating what he has given them reason to hate.
