    Angry AT&T customers sue Cingular

After 25 years of mergers, acquisitions, globalization, privatization, trickle down and "free trade", MAYBE people are beginning to catch on that the 2 party use of these shiny happy terms is really coded language for class war by the Ownership Society against the rest of us, not prosperity and opportunity for all, and certainly not justice for anyone.

Every merger, every consolidation in every industry from agribusiness to media, has been sold as increased prosperity for everyone and reduced costs for consumers, though that is never what happens. The exact opposite invariably happens. Not only do they always drive costs up for consumers and cut jobs, they, more and more frequently, cut benefits for those they still deign to employ.

And they get tax breaks for this too.

These greedy, corporate, conscienceless, class warrior pigs have created an economic structure in which there is virtually no competition at all, all the while hollering about the importance of competition and free markets.

And thanks to the conflict of interest consolidation of media, they 've been able to do a lot of this without the average person even noticing.
