Rummy, Little Al and Bobby Mueller recruiting on Arab TV

I was hanging out at my Arabic speaking neighbor's watching the world cup on Arab language television when I saw them, the ads, the recruitment ads for the FBI and the Amerikkkan military.

The military recruitment ads promise a 10,000 dollar signing bonus, glorious educational opportunity, the satisfying option of helping others and CITIZENSHIP.

These promises are delivered through the device of an image of an Amerikkkan GI with small children clustered about his feet. Safe to say one of the children pictured was not Abeer Qassim Hamza, the child raped and murdered, by English speaking, recently baptized Amerikkkan soldier Steven Green.

Of course, I don't believe anything the government says regardless of the venue in which they release it - ads, press releases and other forms of disinformation, public address, or Money Lips campaign blathering about social security and the Orwellian ownership society.

But I was, though should not have been, surprised by the ads. They ran about every 5 minutes. Quite intense. I realized the government is probably running such ads in many places the average American won't see, probably offering citizenship for military service in many places, places such as the Philippines or even Mexico.
