Hastert: Supporters of Bush Iraq Policy Show The Same Steely Resolve As United 93 Passengers

America's response started high above a corn field in rural Pennsylvania. Brave men and women armed with nothing more than boiling water and dinner forks and broken bottles stood up as Americans always do when our freedom is in peril and they struck back. We know from the messages they left behind that their final thoughts were for their families and their loved ones, but they also spoke of their love of their country.

Our freedom has never been more in peril than it is from the republican party. Democracy is the last thing these class warriors are interested in. I'm so tired of republican making this connection between Iraq and 9/11 when everyone knows there is none.

Freedom is never more than one generation from extinction. Perhaps the brave souls on United 93 reflected Ronald Reagan's words, because the generation represented on that plane, like the patriots at Concord bridge were not going to let freedom be extinguished, not on their watch.

Ronald Reagan, who truly looks like Hannah Arendt (Thanks Maureen Dowd) next to Monkey Lips, would projectile Vomit on Hastert if he had to put up with his snorting and lip smacking and huffing and barking for 5 minutes.

We in this Congress must show the same steely resolve as those men and women on United flight 93, the same sense of duty as the first responders who headed up the stairs of the Twin Towers. We must stand firm in our commitment to fight terrorism and the evil it inflicts around the world.

Oh yeah, the "evil" talk. Maybe the dimocraps should point out that the black and white thinking which characterizes the repiglikkkan party is symptomatic of a personality disorder.

With a three million dollar gain for himself and two pals in only three years through thorough abuse of his congressional authority, this rotund Rottweiler is compelled to make this ridiculously obvious, manipulative speech in an attempt to draw connections where none actually exist.

Hastert is an affront and an embarrassment to Illinois and I sincerely hope the voters of his district (will have many poll watchers and election monitors) and send this phony home from Washington. He's completely unfit to govern and he is far too close to the presidency. Not that I'd cry if Bush and Cheney and went bye bye. In fact, I"d cheer.
