Scary that a majority of Amerikkkans think it's A-okay for the feds to spy on us

But I think 3 dollar a gallon gas upsets the average Amerikkkan even more than gay marriage, abortion and any threat to their right to maintain their own fleet of tanks, rocket launchers and religiously hand dipped infantry men.

Amerikkka may be as stupid as all get out - or brainwashed from corporate news obfuscation and disinformation spewed into minds that have received less than challenging education - but this is a debtor nation, half of which lives on less than 45 grand a year.

3 dollar a gallon gas should get the fucking bums thrown out, well, if we can stop the ongoing, outrageous privatization of elections utilizing such repiglikkkan connected companies as Diebold and ES&S. Vote fraud to be sure.

Perhaps this spy news can cause us to have a public discussion about why the NSA should not be spying outside the purview of the courts and why federal troops should not be deployed on our borders, or in our big cites for that matter, as they were and still are in New Orleans, along with the mercenaries we shouldn't have at all.

Maybe ongoing attention to this, plus some focus on the fact that the Bush administration has done exactly nothing to relieve the terrorist threat but, in contrast, has done everything imaginable to amp it up, will change the simple minded segment of the country's thinking on these matters.

Nothing happens in a minute, Nothing happens in a flash.
You may fall in love at first sight, but you won't stay there for more than 10 seconds if events don't occur which fill in the experience, grow it, so to speak.

Maybe these awful things, these monstrous, relentlessly criminal, stupid things being done by the Bush administration will trigger a change America desperately needs, an at the close of the process half of us won't think illegal government activity has no impact on our lives or protects us from "terrorists" - how about the home grown ones? The abortion clinic bombers and KKK and right wing militias etc? Who's protecting me from them?

Maybe, maybe we can change. Maybe we can grow out of our religious preoccupation and crappy schools. Maybe we can restore some integrity to our media.

I doubt it. I think the Empire is in rapidly accelerating decline. But maybe.
