Lockheed: Encouraging Violence World Wide

LOCKHEED Martin, the largest arms manufacturer in the world, wants to supply transport planes to Slovakia. Its representatives met with the Slovak parliamentary Defence and Security Committee as part of a US embassy delegation this week, the Hospodárske noviny wrote.

Slovakia would buy the planes through the US government in order to receive the same price as the US Army. Based on a request for a price offer, the US government recommended the C-130J airplane for Slovakia. This type of airplane costs around $60 million (Sk1.8 billion) each.
