    A Few Flood Stories

Global Warming has already destroyed the human friendly equilibrium between earth's air and water, forcing more moisture into the air as the increasingly hot atmosphere evaporates more ocean. This specific change to the cycle means bigger, wetter, more violent storms increase in some places, while drought increases in others.

All outcomes of such an altered and escalating cycle are bad as they include massive loss of life through destruction of habitable environment, arable land and fresh water, and more and more population displacement from weather events, stuff that will make the aftermath of Katrina look insignificant by comparison.

The economic costs of environmental destruction are enormous, much more expensive than acting to save our environment now, though shark eyed ass plug Dick Cheney and his sphincter blisters in the repiglikkkan party will tell you otherwise.

The fact that crooks and idiots in Washington continue to dispute indisputable science is a whole other reason to impeach them, as though their designs for world domination, aggression and murder for empire are not enough.

This is happening now. And we must take steps now to stop it now. It'll be a while before we can get any help from Washington, any political leadership, as Dubya is more like a baby fondling the poop in his diaper and playing with his toes while cooing adoringly at corporate fucks and Unca Dick and foreign nationals vying to bite off a piece of the US than he is an actual leader.

Remember how Jimmy carter tried to warn the country about problems related to this nearly 30 years ago and how the authoritarian, greedy, lip smacking corporate pigs who installed senile, dribbling fool Raygun, ignored carter's warnings and charged forward in an effort to bring about christian apocalypse through environmental destruction?

I'm starting another blog, Global Drowning, which I want to use to track floods and other environmental events. I'll get stories posted over the holiday.

The URL for Global Drowning is subject to change as Blogger software performs so poorly I'm activley looking for an alternative.
