July 27 (Bloomberg) -- European stocks climbed to the highest in two months after Volkswagen AG, the region's biggest carmaker, Royal Dutch Shell Plc and DaimlerChrysler AG reported earnings that beat analysts' estimates.

July 27 (Bloomberg) -- Raytheon Co., the world's largest missile maker, said it may sell or spin off its aircraft unit and posted a 54 percent gain in second-quarter profit on rising weapon sales to the U.S. and allied nations.
Credit Suisse has been hired to help consider options for the business including a sale, stock offering or spinoff, the company said today in a statement. Raytheon also increased its earnings forecast for this year after net income last quarter rose to $310 million, or 69 cents a share.
