Every day I bump into Germans Americans who still don't get it.

Yesterday I encountered one smug little bastard with absolutely no understanding of his government who told me he wants to work for the CIA or NSA because it would be fun.

I suppose it takes amoral people like that to fill in the gaps left by frothing psychopaths like Rumsfeld, who is no different than anyone in Hitler's upper echelon, and no, the comparison is not tired because it is accurate.

I'm tired of being polite to such idiots too.
I always believed civility, a pleasant tone and a multitude of facts win the argument faster and more thoroughly than an aggressive approach, but my opinion is changing. For one thing, these people are not interested in facts. They also view civility as a symptom of weakness. Another thing is people who haven't caught on don't deserve civility, not when their country is doing what this country is doing: mass murder, destabilizing the world, class warfare, you name it. There is no excuse for not knowing. There is no "I don't have enough time" excuse or no no reliable sources of information excuse. There is NO EXCUSE.

This government is no better than the Third Reich, camps and all. It's a matter of scale, but once Bush nukes Iran we get the scale the award.

Another thing, I think my self restraint is all spent. Maybe each person is born with a limited amount of it and mine has all been used on years of being polite to pro Bush right wing Christian idiots, because I can barely control myself lately.

It makes me literally physically sick to hear George Bush talk about heroism as he tries to own the courage of the people on United 93, the draft dodging, war starting, compulsive lying chicken hawk.
