Bush Aide: No Silver Bullet for Gas Prices
Even Richard Nixon froze the price of gas.
The government could do many things to control the cost, but the people running government are not willing to put any restrictions on business. Odd that this president who claims the Powers of a Sovereign, and insists the executive branch has more authority than the other branches of government, says he cannot do a dad burn thing about oil prices.
Here are two reasons.
One. Bush CO Robber Barons want the price of oil as high as it will go. This makes them Enormous Profits.
Two. Doing anything to REGULATE the oil industry is in direct opposition to the Grover Norquist, Neocon, State's Rights governing philosophy that shapes all policy, such as the response to Katrina, executed by BushCO.
These policy makers insist the federal government should stand down in all situations except war, where they should step up and create conflict to enrich the war industrialists like Lockheed, GE, Northrop Grumann, General Dynamics, Raytheon, Halliburton and other war Profiteers.
