Some scientists think humans descended from Martian microbes

Interesting idea, though I know my ancestral microbes did not come from the same place repiglikkkan ancestor microbes come from.
Repiglikkkan microbes seem to have skipped a few developmental stages on their way to homo sapiens sapiens (if they are that - I'm not convinced) like the stage that allows development of empathy and a conscience.
