Within 72 hours, the population returned the constitutional government to power and reaffirmed Chavez as the indisputable leader of the Venezuelan Revolution, which rebounded from the fascist siege to implement important social and economic programs that has transformed the lives of the underprivileged.
Four years later, and not long before the next presidential elections, Chavez maintains strong popular support and moves forward in promoting integration among Latin American and Caribbean countries.
