Walter Thompson, Atlanta, Ga., is being awarded an $81,588,102 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for marketing and advertising services in support of the Marine Corps Recruiting Command advertising program. This contract includes options which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to $750,000,000. Work will be performed primarily in Atlanta, Ga., and various locations yet to be determined. Work is expected to be completed Sep. 2012. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via the Navy Electronic Commerce Online site, with one proposal received. Raytheon Co., Space and Airborne Systems, El Segundo, Calif., is being awarded a $54,827,109 firm-fixed-price contract for the procurement of 19 AN/APG-79 active electronically scanned array radars to be retrofitted into F/A-18E/F aircraft Lots 26-29. The radars will replace the APG-73 radars currently installed in the aircraft. Work will be performed in Forest, Miss. (43 percent); Dallas, Texas (29 percent); El Segundo, Calif. (27 percent); and Andover, Mass. (1 percent) and is expected to be completed in Dec. 2009. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Bell-Boeing Joint Program Office, Amarillo, Texas, is being awarded a $47,528,692 not-to-exceed modification to a previously awarded cost-plus-incentive-fee contract (N00019-03-C-0067) to exercise an option for interim contractor support for the CV-22 operational flight at Hurlburt Field, Ft. Walton Beach, Fla. and potential deployed locations. This modification also provides for operational training support at Kirtland Air Force Base, N.M., and support for one developmental test aircraft at Hurlburt Field. Work will be performed at Hurlburt Air Force Base, Fort Walton Beach, Fla. (55 percent) and Kirtland Air Force Base, Albuquerque, N.M. (45 percent), and work is expected to be completed in Sep. 2008. Austal USA, Mobile, Ala., is being awarded a $33,710,000 firm-fixed-price contract for infrastructure improvements to the Austal Shipyard in Mobile, Ala. Contracted improvements at Austal USA are one of a series of contracts with Gulf Coast shipbuilders awarded under Section 2203 of Public Law 109-234, Emergency Supplemental Appropriations for Defense, The Global War on Terror and Hurricane Recovery 2006. This contract is for construction of a Modular Manufacturing Facility at Austal USA’s Mobile, Ala., shipyard. Austal was one of six Gulf Coast shipbuilders selected to receive infrastructure improvement contracts. The purpose is to expedite recovery of shipbuilding capability in areas affected by Hurricane Katrina by repairing and/or replacing shipbuilding facilities, to make lasting improvement in shipyard facilities that would result in measurable cost reductions in current and future Navy shipbuilding contracts, and to improve the ability of shipbuilding facilities on the Gulf Coast to withstand damage from potential hurricanes or other natural disasters. Work will be performed in Mobile, Ala, and is expected to be completed by Apr. 2009. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The contract was competitively procured and advertised via the Internet, with 18 proposals received from seven offerors.
