Lockheed Martin GPS satellite set for launch

Lockheed Martin Navigation Systems is under contract to modernize eight IIR satellites for the Global Positioning Systems Wing, Space and Missile Systems Center, Los Angeles Air Force Base. The Lockheed Martin (NYSE:LMT) unit is doing the work in Valley Forge, Pa., using modernized payloads built by ITT Corp. (NYSE:ITT) in Clifton, N.J.
