Epic Data and Lockheed Martin Team Up to Deliver UID Solutions

September 05, 2006 -- Epic Data International Inc. (TSX: EKD), a leading provider of automated data capture and production execution solutions for discrete manufacturers, today announced that it has signed a distributorship agreement with Lockheed Martin to resell Lockheed's I-GUIDES™ UID data management solution. This agreement enables Epic Data to offer an end-to-end solution to defense manufacturers for the rapidly growing UID market.

Unique IDentification (UID) is an initiative of the US Department of Defense (DoD) that enables the distinction of one asset from another, which allows the DoD to track identical assets and to identify contractors doing business with the U.S. government, NATO member nations, and other foreign governments.
