Little is known of what may have motivated the 23 suspects in British police custody to allegedly plot to blow up U.S.-bound jetliners with liquid explosives. But many in their middle and working class neighborhoods said the communities have become alienated by U.S. and British policy in the Middle East.

Endless interference in the middle east by the US , Britain and other western countries, demonizing Muslims, setting ME governments against each other, assassinating, installing puppet dictators who are friendly to the western way of "business", overthrowing, arbitrarily dividing land into "nations", supporting the endless atrocities of Israel, hawking WMD, invading and occupying and totally economically colonizing f Iraq (under the signature of slick Jerry Bremer), arresting, detaining, denying rights to Americans and Britons of Muslim descent or origin, torture.... I could go on all night .... does tend to frustrate and anger folks.
One could reach the conclusion western governments don't mind a few terrorist acts, might even encourage them, because it gives them a reason for a "war on terror" which justifies the destruction of our rights and liberties and accelerates further trillion dollar exploitation of populations in so called democracies, as the productivity of entire nations are routed to a few big corporate pockets who would like to control the world.
Think Exxon, Chevron, BP, Halliburton, Bechtel, Lockheed, News Corporation, etc., who all benefit from "the war on terror" and use their resources to fight any and all public accountability.
