Eli Lilly Posts 2Q Profit of $822 Million

Eli Lilly and Co. swung to a profit in the second quarter after a loss a year ago that had included a hefty product liability charge. The drug company reiterated its full-year earnings outlook, but said it now sees 2006 sales growth at the low end of prior guidance.
