    Accelerated Deterioration at CNN

I avoid MSM except during rapid breaking "news" situations in which I feel a need to keep moment to moment track of events.

MSM is really the only way to keep moment to moment track, sadly. Sad because I'm forced to provide context for the information myself. MSM excises all that. Sad and disturbing too.

Disturbing because everything broadcast on television news is filtered so severely, so washed and spun and hang dried, so sanitized of real information and scrubbed of multiple points of view, so soaked and dyed in the corporate, ball heavy, white Amerikkkan male view point that ceaselessly proclaims some people simply do not matter to god or government, that it is essentially useless to those of us who don't accept that elitist, hierarchal nonsense, so experience MSM as though we are being held down and gang raped while the rapists are screaming in our ears that it isn't a rape so much as it is a baby shower.
Here, have some chocolate cake with Italian cream frosting shaped into little blue booties.. Yum.

I watched Katrina coverage on TV, almost blistering my thumb by shifting so quickly between channels to avid sights and sounds that were too sickening, too repulsive, such as poppy's boy Tucker Carlson in a T-Shirt pretending to have compassion for those who have been battered for years by policies he relentlessly supported, etc.

I got to see the stranded black Americans struggling to survive it the aftermath of the disaster while the racist MSM, utterly oblivious to context or reality, branded them looters, but I still got to see the images as they happened.

I haven't felt a need to watch MSM TV since they stopped reporting on Katrina - and New Orleans is still devastated, mind you, and the Bush administration is still doing nothing about it except dispensing tax dollars to fiends who run "security" companies and "construction" companies, but the latest Israeli aggression into Lebanon has caused me to turn on the TV again so I can keep up in timely fashion with the sheer number of bombs and rockets per minute, and try to assess how much of this is about Amerikkka creating a publicly acceptable reason to bomb Iran.

I was completely surprised when I flipped on CNN and there was some narrow faced, silky haired blonde 25 year old blathering about something while the tag at the bottom of the screen said

    FAITH AND VALUES CORRESPONDENT.

Values need a correspondent? Values aren't inherently displayed in all reporting?
Them or the lack of them?

    Faith and values? Which "faith"?

Is faith actually news or is more superstition?
And this specificity is for specifically what?
And to appease what extremist, constitution shredding, radical right religious groups? And does the faith correspondent report on faith driven atrocities, say shooting doctors who provide abortions or Darryl Bujaks or the homophobic closet case agenda Kkkarl "not brilliant but manipulative and despicable and short sighted "Rove used to splinter the country?
Where do we draw the line on FAITH reporting? Should I call and let CNN know I have faith Bush is a swaggering, dangerous idiot and CNN is part of the problem? I bet that kind of faith isn't welcomed on air.

It's been obvious for some time that Jonathan Klein has accelerated the deterioration of CNN. The addition of Nancy Grace and Glen Beck in an effort, I suppose, to beat FAUX news, or so I supposed, but it turns out FOX has been losing ratings share like mad since the country started to catch on to the fact that Bush is an idiot who is driving the nation to ruin and taking the world along for the ride.. but FAITH AND VALUES CORRESPONDENT?

That's a new low, even for a professional obfuscator and butt boy like Klein.
Is faith News? Are "values" summable under a by line? Is this language not more of the same Orwellian mix that's neutralized public participation in politics anyway?

I turned it off. I didn't listen. Maybe I should have seen and heard it, but I felt it would make me sick.

MSM seems to be willfully and knowingly engaged in blowing smoke between its viewers and the issues, in creating an impenetrable cloud of confusion that will keep people from understanding what their government is actually doing to them and t the world. I knew that when OJ and Joey Buttafuco became lead news stories.
But using religion to this is a new low and a new level of danger in a country that is narcissistically, power drunkenly lurching toward theocracy.
