A Look at Damage by Northeast Flooding

PENNSYLVANIA: The Susquehanna River crested at just over 34 feet

NEW JERSEY: Thousands fled when the Delaware River overran its banks. Drinking water was dwindling in Trenton, after the city's water filtration system was shut down because of debris in the river.

NEW YORK: Nearly 3,000 people remained in shelters, and up to 7,000 people were left without power and drinking water.

MARYLAND: An evacuation order was lifted for 2,200 residents living downstream from a dam near Rockville. Authorities told boaters to stay out of the upper end of the Chesapeake Bay because of swollen water levels and storm debris.
