FULTON — A group of investors has announced plans to build a $200 million ethanol plant in the tiny Mississippi River town of Fulton.
The plant will produce 108 million gallons of ethanol a year and create 100 jobs, developers said Wednesday.
The project, which is slated to be completed this year, will also include a heat and power energy center.
The ethanol plant will use about 40 million bushels of locally produced corn each year and will be built on 100 acres of what is currently farmland.
