The really sad and ultra frightening part of it is, Brown is not the face of government ineptitude as the corporate media persists in characterizing him. Rather he is the face of Bush policy, the logical outcome of the Bushonian view of the role of government, the abundantly fleshy expression of the Grover Norquist plan to drown government in the bathtub, unless, of course, there is a lot of money to be made for handful of people who run the economy, by expanding and privatizing it.
Theneoconfederate neoconservative view teaches that government should never be used to intervene on behalf of the people, that the people are obliged to pull themselves up by their own bootstraps, so as to attain salvation in Christ, and that government function is to wage war fro resources/wealth and control the flow of money driving it up to the top 1% of wealthy people.
