Danube breaks through Romania flood dikes

Waters from the swollen Danube River broke through several dikes flooding houses and forcing more villagers to flee their homes in southern Romania.

The rains stopped, but high waters caused damage to villages and towns along the Danube, which marks the border with Bulgaria, Romanian authorities said.
