    Rhode Island Bans Abstinence Program

IT IS ABOUT TIME! First of all, we have a responsibility to provide young people with all the information they can get to make informed decisions about sexuality (including informing them about various types of protection, the physical, social, emotional responsibilities that accompany sexual activity ... and while we're at it, maybe use this as a great start to promote understanding of sexuality beyond a man and a woman procreating (!!!)) NONE of which the current abstinence-only programs do ... while South Dakota appears to be plunging off to the deep end, I hope Rhode Island captures a lot of attention with this initiative!
