White House Knew of Levee's Failure on Night of Storm

Bush administration officials said they had been caught by surprise when they were told on Tuesday, Aug. 30, that a levee had broken, allowing floodwaters to engulf New Orleans.
But Congressional investigators have now learned that an eyewitness account of the flooding from a federal emergency official reached the Homeland Security Department's headquarters starting at 9:27 p.m. the day before, and the White House itself at midnight.

The Bush administration had no plan for dealing with Katrina, the levee break or any other likely major catastrophe AND THAT INCLUDES A TERRORIST ATTACK.
These people do not believe dealing with national disasters is a federal responsibility. That is one reason the mayor of New Orleans is soliciting other governments for funds to rebuild his city.

The Bush administration has bilked tax payers out of millions of dollars to fund a bullshit organization called Department of Homeland Security.

Department of homeland security is not designed to work.
The name is a psychological operation and the department is designed to redistribute working America's tax dollars to "defense" and "security" companies, but not for protecting Americans from terrorism because they can't. That is simply impossible.

The only thing that can achieve that is policy and diplomacy and this pack of jackals is capable of neither. In fact, Bush has guaranteed more terrorist attacks.

Still, they can create the illusion of doing something and steal even more of the treasury by paying a low down, dirty, war monger offense company like Lockheed to fill American subways with cameras. And that is what they're doing.

Give me a break.
If any democrat had performed like these pigs have, they'd have been impeached by now.
