More Orwellian Every Day
Bush wants to protect America with a public health quarantine! His commitment to our health and public safety is astounding. A quarantine will stop Avian flu faster than a speeding bullet. Yeah, he wants that "quarantine" run by the military.
Why doesn't Bush protect America with a good public health care system and adequate flu vaccine? Seems that'd be a lot more effective than martial law.
Why doesn't Bush protect America with a sound foreign policy, modern energy policy, good school system, fair trade policy, sound environmental policy, firm separation of church and state, regulated businesses, revised agricultural policy that is fair to small farmers and food consumers and new FCC rules to break up media monopolies? Oh, well, because there is no profit to be made for the freaks who run him, not with any of that creeping egalitarianism shit, and no police state advantage in any of it either.
Why doesn't Bush protect America by resigning and turning himself over to the war crimes tribunal. Take your punishment like a manly man Georgie Porgie Puddin Pie. Really keep America safe.
They just keep inching us into a a police state, changing the rules so that the military can be put on the streets as "crisis management," stepping up surveillance and stepping on the laws that were made to prevent this kind of big brother is watching atmosphere BushCo loves to use in order to squash dissent and intimidate an already bleating, sheep-like, FAUX watching public.
Wouldn't it be fun if there were a public health crisis during the 2006 midterm elections? And BushCo had to put the army on the street? Then even areas without Diebold and ES&S would go repiglican then, let me tell you.
I was half watching this crap on the news yesterday at the gym. Seemed they were talking about these plans without pointing out the obvious, that it is another step toward a police state.
Why do republicans hate America so much?
